Just to move away from Platt Lane for a while.
The wonderful winged dragon that I had constructed and fixed to the forward T piece was a little too big. It kept getting pushed against the lock gates and catching under the walkways at the locks and eventually got lost in the canal at some point so a complete reconstruction has taken place resulting in the new incarnation, which will probably not be the last.

Making progress back to our usual winter haunt. This has been a hard year in that I am no longer as fit as I used to be and the wide locks have taken a toll on my ability to manage them. A personal decision but I will not attempt to navigate the Leeds&Liverpool again unless there are guaranteed volunteers on any flight with more than two locks.

Having had a good old moan yesterday I have enjoyed this years travelling and especially the extra mural journeys to sundry places..

Tried to get water but none available from the tap. Did empty the elsans, so there was (dirty) water available.

Stopped off at Midland Chandlers for a couple of porta pottie 145's to replace the leaking ones.

Filled up with water (at last) at Anderton and got rid of rubbish.

Took a walk into town to do some shopping at Morrisons and Lidl and had to take a picture of this on my way past. I love it when someone displays a sense of humour.

B&Q Northwich for, I really cannot remember what it was I went there for.
