In 2015 when my personal pension matured I was told that it
would not be worth taking it as a monthly payment and that I would
be much better advised to take it as a lump sum.
The lump sum did not amount to very much in the grand scheme of things
but it was enough to improve my current situation.
So I put Almyne on the market and started looking for a new(er) boat.
Sixteen years afloat and counting
The new boat was just 10 feet longer than Almyne but that
did mean that i could have the same accomodation that I was
used to PLUS a workshop, something I had always hankered for.
As it turned out for the first 5 years the workshop turned into a
second bedroom so I could accomodate guests. it wasn't until I
started refurbishing Dennis that I eventually turned that second
cabin into a proper workshop.
