Used the facilities at Calverly before departing. Bit chilly so didn't travel too far today.
Took blood pressure readings.

Got to Church Minshull in time to go shopping in Crewe, my first shop since before Christmas.

Shopping in Crewe again today. I had half a dozen or so items in my trolley and all the self service trolley checkouts were occupied so I went to a 'Baskets Only' self service checkout. I had just put my first item through when one of the 'colleagues' (thank goodness she was not one of My colleagues) told me I couldn't use this checkout as it was basket only. Red rag to a bull. OK I said and walked out leaving the trolley with the contents where they were.
Forced to look elsewhere I found Tesco which turned out to be noticeably cheaper. Did my shopping there and went home.

Today's trip into Crewe was to source some drill bits that I need. On my way to the bus station, passing Asda, I called in and spoke to the manager. For Your Information - told him why I had swapped my £50 weekly shop from Asda to Tesco and he seemed grateful to be able to address a silly situation.

Thought we would try this mooring as it looks really nice and has excellent views. Although it doesn't look too close to the railway line the trains go past quite fast and so are a bit on the noisy side. Won't moor here again.

Moved along to the top end of Middlewich. I tend not to moor any closer to the town as the nearer the centre you get the more dog poo there is on the tow path and, for that matter, on the streets. The dog owners of Middlewich are the laziest and most unhygienic I have come across.
Hunkered down for the rest of the month, not a lot going on anywhere and not a lot to do on the boats. Finished three puzzles, four books and loads of TV viewing, keeping the fire going and generally little more than waiting for spring to arrive.
