Took a trip to Frankton Junction and back

Delivery from Travis Perkins of lengths of 2 x 1, 3 x 1, 4 x 1 and 5 x 1 as well as a length of gutter for a project I have in mind. I like to have a small stok of timber available so that in the event I decide to make something I don't have to scurry around and spend loads of time carrying lengths of 2 x 1 or even 4 x 2 back to the boat from the nearest timber merchant, which could be several miles away.
Additionally, by purchasing from the same supplier each time I get the same size. It seems that each merchant has theit own idea of 2 x 1 and they are all slightly different.
Anyway, the driver had a problem with the snow everywhere and nearly got stuck as there is a slight slope from the main road down to where the boat is parked. Got away in the end.

Hermione and Edie arrived today at about midday

I put on a nice freshly ironed shirt today. Edie ironed it for me when they visited. She seemed to enjoy it, quite different to me at that age. I think thatr half of it was the novelty of using a Flat Iron as the Victorians did. Works well on my boat when the caol fire is gooing and I have lots of spare heat to utilise.
