Moored opposite the garden with 10 or more Volkeswagen vehicles. There is a bus stop just by the bridge for shopping in Coventry.
We came up on the lottery for £20 twenty weeks ago and it had been paying for our tickets ever since. Today the lottery savings ran out. Caught the bus into Coventry to shop at the market. I like Coventry market but they had no mutton today, pity, I fancied a mutton stew.
Collected some wood on the way. Just before the unstable cutting there was a couple of trees down so we pulled over and helped ourselves. It was quite a way from where the boats were moored but well worth the effort.

Shopping. There is a big retail estate here and one of the stores is a pet supplies chain. Purchased a harness for D'fer so that I can actually pick him up. He is getting unsteady on his feet and I am worried that he might fall in the canal so I want to be able to get him out again. It will also be useful for getting him in and out and on and off the boat.
Got some Ash on the way at Newbold.
Collected loads of hawthorn and ash on the way. Processed it all when we arrived at Clifton. Had a spider eradication afternoon to rid the air vents of spiders and their webs. I'm sure that the ventilation is much improved.
Caught the train to Atherstone and then a bus to Polesworth from where we walked to Alvecote so that we could view a boat. It's called Dreamcatcher and although it is a semi-trad it has the potential to be reorganised so that we can both have our own accommodation on it and travel the whole system.
Stopped off in Rugby for dog food and to look at carpets for the new boat when we get one. There's nothing like window shopping.
