My crew arrived around tenish and we completed the flight marvelling at the herd of Bison on the way up.

Monday 7th January 2019 Marston Doles, 0.5 miles 2 locks

Filled up with water at the water point, just because we can.
There is a bus stop by the lock and there used to be a service from here to Southam, via Napton, convenient for shopping, but as usual the service has been discontinued to save money.

Tuesday 15th January 2019 Claydon Bottom Lock, 4 miles 4 locks

Took a break in the journey after the flight of four, 'cause I worked it twice.

Wednesday 16th January 2019 Cropredy, 2 miles 4 locks

There is a little general store at Cropredy so braced myself to pay the exorbitant prices and topped up with basics. I don't think there has ever been a bus service through here.

Friday 18th January 2019 Banbury, 5 miles 5 locks

Well here we are only about four weeks early for my cataract operation but I do like to make sure that I am able to keep appointments. Plenty of time to use the facilities and do some proper shopping at Morrison's.

Thursday 31st Januay 2019 Nells Bridge Lock, 5 miles 2 locks 6 lift bridges

Last time we were here the canal was flooded. Since then there has been some flood relief work done both above and below Banbury so we should be ok for a few days.
