Getting on to the boat I tripped over and opened up my shin on something. A five inch long gash right down to the bone. I remember wondering what's that white thing inside my leg. I fashioned some steri strips to hold the skin together over the bone My No2 organised a taxi to the A &: E department where they re steri-stripped my shin. We then got a bus to my flu jab which was booked for three pm. Turned out OK in the end
