Well we are not going to be able to do the Leeds and Liverpool this year. We have hung around for three months waiting for some rain to raise the water levels but it ain't gonna 'appen. So it is time we started heading back.
Mind you, we have had alovely summer just basking and chilling.

Out of gas. Fortunatly we still had a few logs on the roof so we got the fire going so we could have cheesy baked potatoes and beans for dinner, and a hot drink.
Stopped off at Sykeshouse Road Bridge and collected about eight kilos of pears from a tree on the tow path.

Stopped off at Thorne Boat Services to replenish some supplies.
While we were here we looked at a couple of boats at Nationwide Narrowboat Sales. To look at one of them the proprietor got a cordless angle grinder and cut the padlock off the hatch so we could look inside.
Interesting to see what sort of boats are available within my No2's price range.
Conducted my medication review online, everything seems to be OK. Some shopping at Sainsbury's and Lidl. Booked in for a 7am start at Keadby Thursday morning.

Didn't bother travelling yesterday, the tides were not in our favour and we really do not like getting up at silly o'clock in the morning.
Did make a list of things to do over the winter.

  1. Stainless steel bouble bowl, single drainer and new base units on Iowner
  2. Pedestal desk on Dennis
  3. Investigate a 5kva Power Pack
  4. Re-plumb washing machine tap on Dennis (it is in the wrong place)
  5. Reattach trim behind the fire by the window
  6. Make some spiders (I have had an idea about how to make spiders)
  7. Fix the bottom light in the wardrobe
  8. Make a Pussy Cat Castle and some Cannon
  9. Swap the fridges over to see if the batteries on Dennis last any longer.
  10. Fix the horn (again)
