Sun 6th August 2017 Honeystreet 10½ miles 8 locks

Honeystreet via Pewsey Wharf where we walked into Pewsey proper for a look around and to do some provisions shopping.
It was such a lovely day we stopped off at Honeystreet, the Crop Circle capital of the world, for a drink. Unsurprisingly none of the old crowd were there in fact I have not seen anyone I remember on any of the boats so far. Even the proprietor of the Barge Inn has changed.

Sat 12th August 2017 Black Horse Devizes 1 mile 3 locks

We pulled over at the Black Horse prior to tackling the Devizes flight which includes the Caen Hill flight for a rest. We can't find another boat to share the locks with as we take up the whole lock on our own with the two boats.

Wed 16th August 2017 Seend Wharf 3 3/4 miles 29 locks 2 swing bridges

Four days later we were at Seend Wharf where Peter visited and we had lunch at the Barge Inn.
The following day we bumped into the guy who wears a headband. We met him at the top of the Wigan flight a few years ago where my No. 2 had an altercation with a boater who was moored on the water point. We all reminisced about it and his wife confided that she also can lose her rag from time to time.

This is where the Wilts and Berks canal will join
the K & A when restored.

Stopped off at Claverton, a must see as it has only just been commissioned after many years being restored.
Got to Sells Green after five days of slow cruising but got stuck for a couple of days because the pound was down by 18 inches.
