Walked to the rock houses Great to see how people used to live in caves up until very recently.

Walked to Stourbridge for breakfast, only about 5 miles. Met the guy who was moored at Aynho lock about 5 years ago, who makes wooden animals and the like to sell on the tow path.

Friday 8th July 2016 Clouts Covert/Heath Barn 2 1/4 miles, 3 locks

Changed a gas bottle, last changed one on 29th April so it has lasted 9 - 10 weeks. Used the facilities on the way. Got to the first lock and waited while CRT staff replaced a gate paddle that had fallen off.

Kidderminster after a false start. Got to the lock and worked my No. 2 through, then the heavens opened. Eventually got to the supermarket at about half one. Did a bulk shop of nearly everything.

Managed to moor up at the CRT pontoons at Upton upon Severn, "the most flooded town in Britain". It's an expensive little town, but interesting flood defences.
