Put in an offer on Dreamcatcher subject to survey.

Bus to Rugby, saw a bureau that my travelling companion might like so I took pictures of it. When I showed them to her she approved so we set of to Rugby together to inspect it. She liked it and made the purchase and organised delivery for Thursday. Met Tom and Nai
6th Tusses Bridge 6 1/4 miles
The bureau was delivered about half eight, my boat is really getting crowded. Had a towpath chat and whiskies with Tom and Nai and set off towards Coventry about 12ish. Tom had told us of a pile of wood available but there was none left when we got there. The Atherstone flight has been closed since January 6th for work at Baddesley wharf and has been opened early by a few days. The survey on Dreamcatcher scheduled for 11th so if it is good we can collect the new boat a few days later once the blacking has been done.
Took Iowner along to the top of the flight. It seems pointless to take her down the flight as we would then have to bring two boats back up. This way we can catch the bus to Polesworth and walk from there to collect Dreamcatcher.
Bus into Nuneaton where we both purchased a pair of wellington boots because the tow path is so mucky, the first I have had in years.
Survey on Dreamcatcher completed and acceptable so instructed Alvecote to black the boat before leaving the dry dock.
Beset by the ravages of Storm Dennis. Didn't affect us too much as we were tucked up nice and warm on Iowner. Completed the purchase of Dreamcatcher. Shopping at Asda Nuneaton
Collected Dreamcatcher. The boat yard fitted a single starter battery and a single leisure battery, both second hand. Cruised as far as Grendon Bridge where we moored up for the night. Organzied Rue Yates to deliver and fit a new starter battery and five leisure batteries tomorrow and service the engine at the same time.
Rue could not stop at the bridge as it would be too dangerous so we arranged to meet him at the next bridge, trouble was, the starter battery would not fire up the engine. Rue stopped just long enough to drop off the starter battery which I fitted so we could get to the next bridge. Got to Bradley Green Bridge facilities where Rue fitted the leisure batteries, checked the starter battery and gave the engine a service, good to go. Continued on to Atherstone.

Storm Dennis officially past.
Spotted a tree blocking the canal, rang CRT and told them of the obstruction and gave them a What3Words location. The person taking the call had no idea what I was talking about which I found surprising as I had recently read an article by CRT about how they are championing and using what3words. They eventually found out what I was talking about and took the details. When the stoppage was diseminated by email there was no what3words location given at all.
Shopping at Iceland in Nuneaton.
There is an ash tree down beside the road at Grange Bridge so we managed to get a few weeks worth of wood from it. There is still most of the main trunk left. We might go back for more sometime on the future.
Ordered a whole bunch of materials from Wickes to start work on Dreamcatcher.
Shopping at Sainsbury's Hinckley then moved to picnic area.
Delivery from Wickes, Work top, 2 sheets 18mm ply, 2 sheets 5.5mm ply, D trim , LED disks, SS Double bowl and drainer, manual changeover gas bottle regulator. Sink mixer tap.
