Walked to Stourbridge for breakfast, only about 5 miles. Met the guy who was moored at Aynho lock about 5 years ago, who makes wooden animals and the like to sell on the tow path.

Changed a gas bottle, last changed one on 29th April so it has lasted 9 - 10 weeks. Used the facilities on the way. Got to the first lock and waited while CRT staff replaced a gate paddle that had fallen off.

Kidderminster after a false start. Got to the lock and worked my travelling companion through, then the heavens opened. Eventually got to the supermarket at about half one. Did a bulk shop of nearly everything.

Purchased a new Beldray 2 in 1 vacuum today from B & M as the old one bit the dust.
Very warm and humid day so it might have contributed to the feeling that Worcester Cathedral wasn't up to much. Shopping in Asda.

Managed to moor up at the CRT pontoons at Upton upon Severn, "the most flooded town in Britain". It's an expensive little town, but interesting flood defences.

Food festival on today, the place was throbbing.
Got a new memory card for my travelling companion's camera and some sun tan cream. Richard delivered wine and the instantaneous water heater I had ordered from eBay.
